Practice Tornado Safety - Statewide Drill March 16th |
The Virginia Department of Emergency Management will be conducting a statewide tornado safety during the week of March 15th. Gov. Bob McDonnell has declared March 16th is "Tornado Preparedness Day". |

Notification for Wastewater Work's Operator in Virginia |
Effective January 1, 2010 the regulations of the Board of Waterworks and Wastewater Works Operators and Onsite Sewage System Professionals of the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulations (DPOR) were amended to include CPE requirements for wastewater works operator licenses.
Cycle will begin March 1, 2010, those whose licenses expire on February 28, 2010 are not required to complete CPE, however; CPE will be required for those licenses that expire on February 29, 2012. Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 wastewater operators will be required to complete 20 hours of training while Class 4 wastewater operator will be required to complete 16 hours
